TERRY CHANCELLOR
Terry L. Chancellor holds a BFA in Interior Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has been a part of The Center since its beginning as an advisor and art instructor. Terry served nearly seven years as Chair of The Center’s Board of Directors, and is currently serving as the Board’s Visual Arts Chair. She is an accomplished artist, designer and teacher who sketches and paints landscapes, portraits, and a variety of subjects on commission. She enjoys and teaches oil and acrylic painting, mixed-media art, stamping and paper craft, and floral arranging. Her works often reflect her background as an interior designer, as well as her love of nature and her faith journey. Her paintings have been used as fundraisers for Central VA Food Bank and Easter Seals, and one of her mixed-media pieces hangs on permanent exhibit at the Baptist Theological Seminary of Richmond. She has exhibited throughout the greater Richmond area.
Terry also serves as a summer camp instructor, leads evening paint party workshops, teaches adult and young artist studio classes, and designs special workshops for seniors. She has also lead workshops for the hard-of-hearing and deaf community, and facilitates retreats and workshops on creativity and spiritual renewal.
